Monkey and baby at the Omaha Zoo
The zoo has the largest indoor rainforest in the world!
Collin crossing the rope bridge
Jason's next to cross
Different monkeys - notice the one on the wall on the pipe. He was eating by himself.
Collin and Caron playing on the branches
Ugliest rainforest animal I've ever seen
Now we're off to Africa!
Turtles with deflated shell
Carson found a swing
Looking around at the rainforest
Monkey family
Williams family
Bet Dad would have liked to have fed these parriots
Fish that were the size of sharks!
And more monkeys
Now we're off the aquarium! FIrst stop - penguins.
Then Japanese spider crab
Jason and Collin in the tunnel
Happy stingray
I didn't like how many sharks were in the tunnel. They were only little ones though.
So many sharks!
These were upside down jelly fish.
See.
Colorful jellyfish
White jelly fish
I want this aquarium in my house
Little Mermaid eels
Eewwww... these were called sea worms
Me, Jason and giant Carson
Now we're off the Desert Dome. They have lots of inside exhibits because it gets so cold.
Looking up at the dome from inside.
How will we get through??
Carson
Inside the Desert Dome they had bat caves, Thank goodness the bats were behind cages. I don't like bats.
Can you remember which are stalactites and stalagmites?
That afternoon we went Downtown Omaha to see where Ryan (Jason's brother) works. The birds symbolize the bank 'taking off!' I don't know what the buffalo symbolizes. Scaring the birds?
Where Ryan works.
The birds....
The birds are made out of part iron part stainless steel which apparently is hard for the artist since they melt at different temperatures. More symbolism....
I've been looking for some good Husker coverage!
Ryan outside his new job
His building is the tallest building between Chicago and Denver...or something.
Jason and Ryan. Very American.
This is where we chose to eat dinner. They had self serve beer taps at the table!
This is how much we drank....
